Becoming Sons was born out of a couple of guys working in a sound room at their local church in the summer of 2015. What started as a praise team essentially, has transformed into a heavier, more aggressive hard-rock/metal/metalcore fusion based on each member's influences.
The name, Becoming Sons was inspired by the scripture verse in the book of Romans, chapter eight, verses 12 through 14, which states, "12. Therefore brethren, we are debtors-not to the flesh. 13. For if you live by the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put do death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God."
Each member of the band, Becoming Sons, have come form different bands in the secular scene, but have come together to spread the Word of God, no matter where that may be.
Daniel Bas is a born-again Christian, lead vocalist, and guitarist for Becoming Sons. Actively involved in his church as a music worship leader, Daniel left behind his previous secular band, Off The Zodiac, to persue a bigger purpose.
Brian Derby is Becoming Son's bassist. Playing in bands such as Hollowpoint, and other bands before bringing a solidness to Becoming Sons, and a willingness to serve, Brian is the band's backbone.
Roger Stack is the drummer for Becoming Sons, and originator of the band. He has played for secular band, Stimple, leaving after being baptized and born again. "I quit Stimple, after being baptized, made some people mad, but I left it to follow Christ; to bring a message of hope to the hopeless. Jesus said to preach the Word to every creature. So that's what Becoming Sons is about."
